HS Code Lookup
—
Rates are indicative MFN figures for common classifications, effective 2026-01-01, sourced from official tariff schedules. FTA and additional-duty results are planning estimates — confirm on the official tariff before relying on them.
Or enter your own HS code
Rates are indicative MFN figures for common classifications and exclude trade-agreement reductions, anti-dumping duties and product-specific rules. They are a planning reference, not a legal classification. Always confirm the exact rate on the official tariff (e.g. hts.usitc.gov for the US, tariffnumber.com for the EU) before you rely on it. SellHandy is not a customs broker. Note: some categories — including Canada and Japan — have not been individually verified against the official 2026 tariff schedules; treat them as indicative and confirm on the official source.
Every import number in one place
HS code is the key that unlocks duty. SellHandy hands it to the duty and profit tools so the chain stays unbroken.

LiveWhat an HS code actually does for you
The same product can face a 0% or a 26% duty depending only on its code — and a different rate again depending on where it's made.
What is an HS code
The Harmonized System (HS) code is a 6-digit international number that classifies traded products. Customs use it to decide the duty rate. Countries extend it to 8–10 digits for their own tariffs (the US HTS, the EU TARIC, the UK tariff, Australia's AHECC). The first 6 digits are shared globally — that's what this tool shows.
Why the code changes your landed cost
Duty is rate × customs value, and the rate is set by the code. A cotton T-shirt (6109.10) is ~16.5% in the US; a ceramic mug (6911.10) is ~26%; many electronics are 0% under the Information Technology Agreement. Pick the wrong code and you either overpay or risk a penalty. Our library covers the categories sellers ask about most, with indicative rates for six major destinations side by side so you can see where importing is cheapest.
Origin is the other half of the rate
The same HS code can be taxed very differently by where the goods are made. A product made in Mexico enters the US at 0% under USMCA; the same product made in China may face the MFN rate plus Section 301 additional duties. Vietnam-made goods enter the EU at 0% under EVFTA, but face full MFN in the US. Our origin planner shows the preferential agreement (if any) for your chosen country pair and flags extra-duty exposure — so you can weigh alternative sourcing before you commit.
From code to duty, without re-typing
Once you've found your product, hit Send to Import Duty. The HS code and the right per-country duty rates (including any FTA preference we found) travel straight into the duty calculator — no copy-paste, no transcription error. From there, send the landed cost to Profit Margin. That's the whole point of SellHandy: each tool feeds the next.
Worked example
A seller of cotton T-shirts checks the code 6109.10 with origin China:
| Destination | Indicative MFN duty |
|---|---|
| 🇺🇸 United States | 16.5% |
| 🇪🇺 European Union | 12% |
| 🇬🇧 United Kingdom | 12% |
| 🇦🇺 Australia | 5% |
Switch origin to Vietnam and the EU rate drops to 0% under EVFTA — Australia also goes to 0% under AANZFTA. Differences this large are exactly why origin and destination both matter before you choose a supplier or warehouse.
